I have a first gen 360 and a 1080p HDTV. I switched the toggle on the 360 to HDTV and plugged in the green blue and red inputs in to my TV. There is a picture but no sound. What am I doing wrong?

ROFL - you have no sound because you didn’t connect the sound! You need to connect the white and the other red cables to the white and red audio inputs. The green blue and red you connected are all video inputs (green, red and blue color signals).
